Periods of extreme heat present new challenges for buildings. This makes it all the more important to consider summer heat protection and indoor climate from the outset. At the Klimafestival für die Bauwende in Berlin on 18 and 19 November 2026, we will show how solar shading can help.
How can buildings and neighbourhoods be better prepared for heat, heavy rainfall and other effects of climate change? And how can solar shading improve indoor climate and comfort for occupants? The Klimafestival für die Bauwende 2026 will focus on practical approaches to climate resilient building, the circular economy and biodiversity.
WAREMA will also contribute to the Klimafestival programme. The focus will be on the role solar shading can play in climate adapted planning and construction.
