The first thing that catches the eye about the building, completed in 2018, is its cladding of solid larch battens. This natural material defines the facade and emphasizes the building's connection to its surroundings.

The light-colored wooden battens, arranged in three dimensions, continue into the school's central atrium, bringing the design of the exterior into the interior.

The WAREMA external venetian blinds echo the slatted structure of the wooden facade at the windows and continue the design concept.

Alongside appearance, the ability to regulate incoming light as needed was an important factor in choosing the solar shading solution. The adjustable slats allow daylight levels to be adapted to the changing needs of the school day while reducing disruptive glare.

The control of the solar shading is managed automatically by the WAREMA Wisotronic 3-channel controller.

The central control system operates various solar shading products according to environmental conditions such as brightness, temperature and wind speed. Its control unit was integrated almost flush with the wall.
