The free-standing awning frame is our innovative outdoor living solution which offers shading for all types of open spaces with maximum flexibility. With no facade connection or foundations. Ideal for the food service industry, businesses and anywhere else where flexible shading solutions are required.
The flexible, free-standing frame for Terrea patio awnings and Perea pergola awnings from WAREMA provides adaptable shading solutions for the food service industry, public spaces, buildings with listed facades and private homes.
The uses of the frame are as wide-ranging as the design options – it can be fitted with an awning on one or both sides and installed on foundations or with weighted boxes, which are ideal as seats and can be completely removed after use.
Free-standing sun shading and weather protection solutions are often required for outdoor hospitality. In many cases, structural conditions or local regulations mean that awnings cannot be attached directly to a facade or fixed into the ground to provide reliable sun shading.
Installation on the facades of some residential buildings can also be difficult. These include prefabricated houses with a timber frame construction and old buildings which are listed or have structures that are not sufficiently robust.
The free-standing awning frame from WAREMA meets all requirements and blends harmoniously into the facade architecture. Its special feature: it can be used for pergola, cassette and articulated arm awnings.
The frame can be fitted with an awning on one or both sides and is available in widths up to 7 metres and heights up to 4 metres.
If frames are installed in a row and fitted with awnings on both sides, they can be used to cover large outdoor areas: for example, a frame fitted on two sides with Terrea K60 cassette awnings with a width of 7 metres and a projection of 4 metres can provide sun shading for a total area of 56 square metres.
The awnings can be extended and retracted at the same time using the WMS radio system, regardless of the number of frames. The colour of the powder-coated frame can be chosen from the WAREMA Colour World to match the overall design. The frame can be fitted with up to four design radiant heaters to allow the awnings to be used even at cooler times of day. Power supply lines can be kept out of sight by feeding them through the pole and crossbeam and a power socket can also be fitted in the frame pole.
The frame is installed using concrete bases, or with the aid of weighted boxes that can be positioned flexibly. These boxes have the advantage that the frame can be uninstalled at any time without a trace. This is particularly important in hospitality, for example in pedestrian zones that must be kept empty out of season.
Weighted boxes for the free-standing awning frame have the same design as those for Perea pergola awnings. This allows both products to be combined while maintaining a consistent look.
