A side awning is an exterior sun shading system used for glare and privacy protection. It provides lateral shading on balconies and terraces, offering effective protection from low-angle sunlight and light wind.

The side awning is operated manually using a handle. All aluminium parts can be powder-coated in colours from the WAREMA Colour World.
To extend the living area outside the house, the owner of a family home in Viersen in Germany created a second room on the patio with the help of an awning. To match the building's cubic architecture, they chose a Terrea K70 with a rectangular cassette.
The biggest challenge they faced was installing the awning on the external insulation and finish system. A special console is required here.
