A centre for culture and creative economy is coming to life on the unused gas plant grounds of the Augsburg Municipal Works. The former kiln house is a temporary venue for the drama department and the ballet. The Brecht Stage was installed here on the first floor. Behind the historic furnace building stands a new structure housing workshops and studios for thespians and artists. Four buildings on the old gas plant grounds will give creative and artistic individuals a new home. Studios, rehearsal rooms and workshops are being built on an area of up to 5000 square meters.
To match the building's architecture, Wings Professional Project planned and fabricated custom large slats with a rusted look for the construction project. The vertically arranged movable large slats provide pleasant lighting conditions and a remarkable facade design.
